Illuminating Engineering Society
Illuminating Engineering Society is the recognized technical and educational authority on illumination. The New York City-based association’s international membership is comprised of engineers, architects, designers, educators, students, contractors, distributors, utility personnel, manufacturers and scientists.
Through more than 10 years of partnership, the Fogarty Services and IES relationship has grown from a single event to work on conception, staging, production, and coordination of their Annual Conference and Illumination Awards, the annual Street and Area Lighting Conference and Roadway Conferences. In addition, Fogarty Services supports IES with coordination, development, construction, and implementation of Demonstration and Experience rooms on location at conferences. These rooms allow attendees to experience different lighting experiences, from classroom, bedroom settings to TM-30 and Glare demonstrations.
“A major success of our last two Annual Conferences and Research Symposium has been our experiential demo rooms to illustrate new lighting metrics. None of which would have been accomplished without the vision, collaboration, and expertise of Fogarty Services building out these rooms,” said Tom Butters, IES Director of Education.
In 2017, Fogarty Services began working closely with Butters to produce and record a variety of videos for the education section of the IES website.
“After a lot of very hard and incredible work by Susan and Ralph … I’m standing and applauding. I mean it. You guys are the best. Working with you is the best part of my job,” Butters said.
Because many of their events are chaired by committees that change annually, Fogarty Services offers IES a stable, reliable source for producing their meetings and conferences. The society members know they have a true long-term partner in Fogarty Services.
